Toronto - On Wednesday, October 31,, 2007, the Church Wellesley Village BIA will host the 2007 Church Street Halloween Festival. This event will take place on Church Street, between Wellesley Street East and Alexander Street, from 6 p.m. - 1 a.m.
Toronto - On Wednesday, October 31, 2007, the Toronto Police Service will launch a CCTV pilot project.  The pilot project follows an extended period of preparation and crime analysis, and research into the way in which CCTV cameras have been used to protect public safety in other Canadian jurisdictions, as well as in the United States and England.
Toronto - The Toronto Police Service, in partnership with the Ontario Provincial Police, will be holding an ATV Safety Information Session on Friday, November 2, 2007, between 6 a.m. and 10 a.m., in Centennial Park in Toronto.

Toronto -  On Friday, August 31, 2007, police arrested a man in relation to two incidents in Toronto and one in Guelph, involving Improvised Explosive Devices.  Adel Arnaout, 37, of Toronto, has been charged with: Eight counts of Attempt Murder.
Toronto - The Toronto Strategic Partnership, with the assistance of Canada Post Security and Investigation Services and York Region Central Fraud Unit, charged Emmanuel Obiefuna, 37 years of age, on Wednesday, November 7, 2007, for allegedly operating a lottery scam/employment scam targeting U.S. citizens.
Toronto - The Toronto Police Service, 41 Division, is seeking the assistance of the public in locating a man wanted for Attempt Murder, Van Kien Hoang, 45.  He is described as Asian, 5’5”, 140 lbs, possibly driving a 2000 Honda, grey in colour, Ontario licence #BBWZ-585.
Toronto - A Toronto Police Service officer has been arrested and charged following an investigation by officers from 53 Division.  Constable Doug Schouten, 41, with 19 years' service, is a member of 14 Division.  He has been charged with Assault and Fail to Comply, while off duty.
Toronto - A Toronto Police Service civilian member has been arrested and charged following an investigation by officers from 22 Division.  On Monday, November 12, 2007, a member with eight years' service was arrested and charged with two counts of Assault Cause Bodily Harm and one count of Assault.
