Toronto - On Monday, July 16, 2007, the Toronto Police Service, in partnership with the TTC, launched project "TTC - Take Time to Check ". This one-week campaign focused enforcement and awareness efforts on road safety issues involving transit vehicles.  During this initiative, officers issued a total of 2,790 tickets.
Toronto - Constable Julie Rice was charged on July 24, 2007 with Theft Under $5,000.  Constable Rice, 30, with three years' service, a uniform officer from 51 Division, is currently on sick leave.
Toronto - On June 13, 2007, the Toronto Police Service, in conjunction with the OPP and the RCMP, executed numerous search warrants and arrested 95 people as part of Project Krytic.  Six arrest warrants were issued on Jul 25, 2007 for: Rodrick Brown, Andrew Kenroy Joseph, Darnell Hugh Grant, Emmanuel Kwaku Boakye, Kirk Stanley Tyndale and Matthew Ramsay Joseph.
Toronto - The Toronto Police Service is requesting the assistance of the public in locating a wanted man - Jessiah Morrison (aka: Macdonald), 19, of Toronto.  He is considered armed and dangerous.
Toronto - The Toronto Police Service has charged a Public Health Inspector, employed by the City of Toronto, in connection with his duties.  Kerry Wong, 42, has been charged with: two counts of Municipal Corruption and Breach of Trust by a Public Officer.
Toronto - On Friday, July 27, 2007, at about 2:30 p.m., a school bus driver was stopped and investigated by the Toronto Police Service for allegedly drinking and driving.  Jerry McNeill, 58, of Toronto, is charged with Refuse Approved Screening Device.
Toronto - On Tuesday, July 31, 2007, at 10:30 a.m., Chief William Blair will participate in the "Sirens for Life" blood donor challenge, at the Hospital for Sick Children, 555 University Avenue.
Toronto - In the aftermath of the violence following the FIFA Under 20 World Cup of Soccer semi−final match, on July 19, 2007, between Argentina and Chile, I made a commitment to conduct an investigation into the conduct of the Toronto Police Service officers involved. The investigation is now completed.
Toronto - For many years, the Toronto Police Service (TPS) has conducted public surveys. The latest survey, mailed yesterday, will measure the community’s perceptions of safety and the quality of life in the 13 City−identified priority neighbourhoods.
Toronto - In response to community concerns, 14 Division launched, and just completed, Project BLT, which centred on the area bounded by Dupont Street on the north, College Street on the south, Lansdowne Avenue on the west and Dufferin Street on the east.
