Toronto - Children at the Kids CAN-BIKE Camp will be joined by Astrid de Vries, Deputy Consul General from the Netherlands, Usman Valiante of the Bicycle Trade Association of Canada, and other guests on a “bike hike” to the Toronto Islands on Friday, August 17 at 9:30 a.m. sharp.
Toronto - A column published in today’s National Post (“Don’t let David Miller soak the suburbs”), incorrectly states that, “Old ladies won’t have their sidewalks shoveled in winter, kids will be locked out of libraries on Sundays….”.  Those statements are inaccurate.
Toronto - Toronto Public Health reported today that mosquitoes found in the city have tested positive for West Nile virus (WNV). These are the first WNV positive results this year. So far, no human cases of WNV have been reported this summer in Toronto, and no birds have tested positive for WNV.
