Toronto - Santa Claus arrives in Toronto this Sunday for the annual Santa Claus Parade, and the TTC is providing extra service and a great bargain for families and groups attending the parade.  For just $9.00, a TTC Day Pass provides unlimited one day travel for a group of up to six people, maximum two adults over 19 years of age.
Toronto - Starting Monday, November 19th at 12 noon, TTC customers will be able to get information about subway/rt service disruptions by visiting the TTC website at www.ttc.ca, under Service Advisories.
Toronto - Saskatchewan and Winnipeg are getting ready for the big game, and the TTC is in game shape as well to handle the big crowd for the 95th Grey Cup Game and all the other events associated with this great Canadian event.  One pass that is a sure bet not to be intercepted is the TTC Day Pass.
Toronto - For the first time since the late 70's, the TTC will offer a free ride home on New Year's Eve.  Customers will not have to pay a fare from midnight on New Year's Eve until the end of New Year's Eve service, approximately 4 a.m., January 1, 2008.

Toronto - The TTC carried 459.8 million riders in 2007. That ranks as the second highest ridership total in the TTC's 87-year history.  The TTC carried 15 million more customers compared to the 2006 total of 444.5 million (or a 3.3 per cent increase).

Toronto - The TTC is pleased to introduce four more accessible bus routes to its surface routes. Starting on Sunday, February 17, the 54 Lawrence East, 129 McCowan North, 302 Danforth Rd-McCowan and 354 Lawrence East bus routes will be wheelchair and scooter friendly.
Toronto - The Toronto Transit Commission will be taking action to tow vehicles parked on TTC streetcar tracks.  The TTC is working with City of Toronto Parking Enforcement Officers, and vehicles that impede the operation of streetcars will be tagged and towed away.
Toronto - Full and part-time students at the University of Toronto's Scarborough campus voted in a referendum this past week on whether to participate in the TTC's U-Pass program.  More than 2300 students voted, with 73 per cent turning the U-Pass down, with 27 per cent voting in favour.

Toronto - TTC Management is working with Ontario Ministry of Labour staff to assist in the bargaining process and help the negotiating parties achieve the shared objective of a fair deal.
