Toronto - On Sunday, March 23, 2008, at 2 p.m., the Toronto Beaches Lions Club will hold their annual Beaches Easter Parade. The parade organizers are anticipating 2,000 participants, 13 floats, 16 trucks, 15 automobiles, 15 motorcycles, 36 bicycles, 16 bands, two mounted horses, and 100 additional animals.
Road closures: assembly area
Partial closure: both sides curb lanes only
- Queen Street East: Munro Park Avenue to Victoria Park Avenue: 10 a.m. - noon.
Partial closure: South side curb lane only
- Queen Street East: Victoria Park Avenue to Courcelette Road: 10 a.m. – noon.
Partial closure– North side curb lane only
- Queen Street East: Courcelette Road to Fallingbrook Road: 10 a.m. – noon
Full closure:
- Queen Street East: Munro Park Avenue to Fallingbrook Road: noon to 1:30 p.m.
- Nursewood Road: Queen Street East to #24 Nursewood Road: noon – 1:30 p.m.

Parade route:
To start at 2 p.m., the parade will proceed along the following route:
Formation area:
- Queen Street East (Munro Park Avenue to Fallingbrook Road)
- Nursewood Road (Queen Street East to #24 Nursewood Road)
- West on Queen Street East (full road)
- South on Woodbine Avenue to dispersal area
Dispersal area:
- Woodbine Avenue (Queen Street East to Lakeshore Boulevard East)
- Lakeshore Boulevard East (Coxwell Avenue to Woodbine Avenue)
