Toronto - On Thursday February 7, 2008, members of the 12 Division Major Crime Unit became aware of two suspects who were allegedly involved in the manufacturing and distribution of fraudulent TTC tickets.

A joint investigation started, between the TTC and the 12 Division Major Crime Unit, named Project Rider 2008.

The project lasted almost a month. Undercover operators from both the police and the TTC were used.

On Wednesday, March 12, 2008, two men were arrested and charged.

Yourdin Clifton Jones, 25, of Toronto, was charged with:
1- Four counts of Uttering forged document,
2- Fraud Over $5,000,
3- Possession Property obtained by crime under $5,000,
4- Possession of instrument for forging a trademark,
5- Forgery.

Christon Nakis Taylor, 21, of Toronto, was charged with:
1- Fraud Over $5,000,
2- Possession property obtained by crime under $5,000.

They are scheduled to appear in court at 2201 Finch Avenue West on Thursday, April 24, 2008, 9 a.m., room 202 F.
