During the month of June 2007, members of the Special Victims Section, with assistance from the Toronto Police Drug Squad and 51 Division Major Crime Unit, charged three men in relation to a child prostitution investigation involving a 17-year-old girl.

It is alleged that:
- one of the men met the girl through a mutual friend,
- the girl lived at the man’s home with the two other men,
- for three weeks, the girl was forced to work at strip clubs and private parties,
- at these locations she performed sexual acts in exchange for money,
- the girl was forced to give her money to the men,
- during this time, the girl was threatened and physically assaulted and she was not allowed to the leave the residence.
- On Wednesday, May 30, 2007, the girl fled the home and approached a police officer.

After an investigation by members of the Special Victims Section, three men were arrested and charged.

Christopher Lewis, 22, (also known as “Henny,” “Henrock” and “Criddy”), of Toronto, was charged with:
1) Procuring Illicit Sex,
2) Exercise Control,
3) Live on Avails of Prostitution,
4) Live on Avails of Prostitution (under 18),
5) Live on Avails of Prostitution (under 18) with Threats/Violence,
6) Sexual Exploitation, and
7) Forcible Confinement.

He is scheduled to appear at College Park Courts on Friday, June 29, 2007 at 10 a.m.

Garnett Grant, 25, (also known as “G” and “G-Money”), of Toronto, was charged with:
1) Procuring Illicit Sex,
2) Exercise Control,
3) Live on Avails of Prostitution,
4) Live on Avails of Prostitution (under 18),
5) Live on Avails of Prostitution (under 18) with Threats/Violence,
6) Sexual Exploitation,
7) Forcible Confinement,
8) Assault, and
9) Overcome resistance: Choking.

He is scheduled to appear at Old City Hall, on Friday June 29, 2007, 10 a.m., room 103.

Donovan Lewars, 25, of Toronto, was charged with:
1) Procuring Illicit Sex,
2) Exercise Control,
3) Live on Avails of Prostitution,
4) Live on Avails of Prostitution (under 18),
5) Live on Avails of Prostitution (under 18) with Threats/Violence,
6) Sexual Exploitation,
7) Forcible Confinement,
8) Assault, and
9) Overcome resistance: Choking.

He was released on bail on Friday June 22, 2007. His next appearance is on Thursday, July 19, 2007, at Old City Hall, room J.

The Toronto Police Service Special Victims Section believes there may be other victims.
