Toronto - The Toronto Blue Jays are preparing for an exciting 2008 season and on March 2 everyone can get in on the action. Starting as early as 8 a.m., ticket sales channels will be open to the public for the purchase of 2008 game tickets. Single game tickets, flex pack or season tickets are all still available for purchase.

From 8 a.m. - 6 p.m., ticket purchasers can call in their orders to 1-888-OK-GO-JAY (416-341-1234). Fans can also head down to the Blue Jays box office at Rogers Centre from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. to purchase tickets.

"Major League Baseball gave us a very fan friendly schedule this season with the return of Boston and New York for weekend match-ups," commented President & CEO Paul Godfrey. "Games against National League contenders we have not seen in a few years is also a treat for our fans."

To coincide with the full launch of ticket sales, the Toronto Blue Jays have planned a Spot the Bobblehead Contest as well as partnered with Citytv who will broadcast the team's March 2nd game versus the Cincinnati Reds at 12:30 p.m.

Starting on Friday, Feb. 22, a 15-foot Blue Jays Bobblehead will be positioned at six different locations throughout the city. Fans who can correctly identify its location and make their way to the site will be able to take their photo with "Jay", get information on single game ticket sales as well as enter the Toronto Blue Jays - Citytv contest for a chance to win a trip to opening day at Yankee Stadium as well as Toronto Blue Jays 2008 season tickets. The grand prize winner will be announced live on-air during Citytv's broadcast on March 2, 2008.

Advance ticket sales and renewals have been very strong during initial online and partner sales. "We are pleased with the level of season ticket renewals to date. It reflects the excitement we all feel regarding the potential for our club this upcoming season," indicated Godfrey.
