The Toronto Police Service would like to remind the public that R.I.D.E. teams will be out during and after the Super Bowl on Sunday, February 3, 2008.
If you are hosting or attending a Super Bowl party, have fun, be responsible, plan ahead and don’t drink and drive. Friends don’t let friends drink and drive.
Tips for Responsible hosting:
• Have non-alcoholic beverages and food available at all times
• Serve alcohol yourself instead of having an open bar
• Stop serving alcohol long before the game ends
• Find out how your guests will be getting home
• Have cash on hand for taxis
• Be prepared for guests to sleep over
• Use designated drivers
• Drink responsibly yourself
• Plan ahead so that you can follow these tips
For more information on Super Bowl R.I.D.E., please contact Constable Lee Bishop at 416-808-1954 or Constable Mig Roberts at 416-808-1920.
For more tips on Home Hosting, contact O.C.C.I.D. (Ontario Community Council on Impaired Driving) at www.arrivealive.org or at 416-485-4411.
