Toronto - For the past six weeks, representatives from the Canadian Tire at Lakeshore Boulevard East/Leslie Street, and representatives from 55 Division, have been receiving Canadian Tire money and cash donated by the patrons of the store for the Ontario Special Olympians.

All of the donations received are used to purchase sports equipment for the Opportunities for Children and Youth facing Physical and Intellectual Disabilities through the Ontario Special Olympics, run out of the S.H. Armstrong Recreation Centre on Woodfield Road.

Constable Cindy Greenlaw said, "None of this would have been possible without the support of Peter Oliver, the proprietor of this Canadian Tire location, Phillips Plumbing or Jeff Mabley from the Water Shoppe who kindly donated the barrels."
