Toronto - On Monday, July 9, federal and provincial partners will join with the City of Toronto to launch the Air Quality Health Index (AQHI). This new index rates the level of local air pollution based on the risk to human health.
Federal Ministers John Baird (Environment) and Tony Clement (Health), and provincial Minister of the Environment Laurel Broten will join Mayor David Miller and Toronto's Medical Officer of Health, Dr. David McKeown, to launch the new index.
