The Centre for Internationally Trained Professionals & Tradespeople assists internationally trained professionals and tradespeople find work related to their skills or professions. Often skilled workers from other countries have a great deal of difficulty finding work in occupations related to their background and become underemployed in positions that do not utilize their skills. This service helps these people apply their skills and knowledge in the Canadian workforce in order to maximize their potential. The Centre for Internationally Trained Professionals & Tradespeople helps them to assess their professional backgrounds in relation to the Canadian labour market, to determine realistic occupations related to their background and to learn effective work search techniques to find appropriate work here.
The Centre for Internationally Trained Professionals and Tradespeople is funded by the Ministry of Training, Colleges, and Universities.
