Fake bomb at the Royal Ontario Museum

On Wednesday, November 28, 2007, at approximately 6 p.m., a suspicious package was discovered at the Royal Ontario Museum, 100 Queen's Park Circle. The package was constructed with material to resemble a bomb. It was removed by the bomb disposal unit and determined to be a hoax.
A video depicting an explosion taking place at the museum was posted on YouTube and sent to the media. Police would like to advise the public that the video is a hoax.
Surveillance video is being reviewed and the investigation is continuing.
