Toronto = The President of the Toronto Chapter of Mothers Against Drunk Driving, Mary Sultana, will launch their annual Project Red Ribbon Campaign on Tuesday, November 6, 2007 at 10 a.m., at Police headquarters, in the lobby.
“MADD Canada is focused on saving lives and preventing injuries,” said Mary Sultana. “Project Red Ribbon encourages people to make a commitment to drive safe and sober during the Holiday Season and throughout the entire year.”
Impaired driving continues to be the leading criminal cause of death in Canada. There are still far too many people killed and injured on our roads every day due to what is a totally preventable crime.
Scheduled Events include:
- Greetings from Chief William Blair, Toronto EMS Chief Bruce Farr, and Mr. Scott Crone from Allstate Insurance, among others,
- Cheque presentations by Toronto Paramedic and Ontario Paramedic Association to MADD,
- Cheque presentation by MADD Toronto Chapter to the Toronto Police Service,
- Presentation of “Citizen of Distinction Award” to Karen Middlecote, “Missing You” Program, Victim Impact Panels,
- Project Red Ribbon Safety Ceremony.
Help us have a great holiday season by encouraging people to drive safe and sober this Holiday Season.
