Toronto - Marketwire - Oct. 26, 2007 - Canadian war veterans and peacekeepers will team up with Grade 5 and 6 students from Davisville Public School, to launch the Toronto Royal Canadian Legion's annual TTC Poppy Campaign. A kick off event will be held this morning at 11:00 a.m. on the Collector's Level at Davisville Station.
Canadian war veterans and peacekeepers will pin poppies on the Grade 5 and 6 students to remind Toronto to wear a poppy and honour the men and women who served our country.
The TTC is pleased to welcome several former TTC employees who served
Canada in war and peacekeeping operations.

On Remembrance Day, Sunday, November 11, at 11:00 a.m., the Toronto Transit Commission will observe a two-minute stop and stay for all subway cars, buses, streetcars and SRT cars, to pause and reflect on the sacrifices made by Canadians.
