- while the officer was conducting her investigation, the driver set the vehicle in motion and fled,

- the suspect was involved in a collision with a vehicle, failed to remain, and continued to flee police,

- the pursuit was discontinued.

- the suspect vehicle was spotted near Parkside Drive/Bloor Street West, and entered into High Park,

- officers followed the suspect who turned his vehicle around and drove at the officers, forcing them to avoid being struck,

- he then drove southbound on Parkside Drive to Lakeshore Boulevard West, travelling west on the Fred Gardiner Expressway,

- police pursued the suspect vehicle westbound to Islington Avenue, where he exited the highway to go northbound on Islington Avenue,

- he then drove up the steep grass embankment, causing the vehicle to pass over the steel guardrail, landed on Islington Avenue and collided with a northbound GMC Safari Van containing two adults and two children aged three and four,

- the van was pushed to the west where it struck the raised, paved median and flipped over on its roof,

- the suspect fled this collision and drove north in the southbound lanes of Islington Avenue for about 100 metres, when the vehicle would go no further.
