Daily updates on the TDSB’s actions and initiatives for student learning and safety

Toronto, ON, September 4, 2007 - Toronto District School Board (TDSB) Director of Education Gerry Connelly will write a daily on-line blog to update parents, students, staff, and the public on the latest actions and initiatives the Board is taking to support student success and safety in its schools.

The blog, announced by Connelly on September 4, 2007, will appear on the TDSB’s public web site at http://www.tdsb.on.ca/ beginning on Wednesday, September 5, 2007.

“I want our students, staff, parents, and community partners to have up-to-date information about what operational measures are being implemented by the Toronto District School Board to keep our students and staff safe,” Connelly said.

“This blog is part of my commitment to definitive action, in conjunction with the recent release of the Interim Report on School Safety (by the School Community Safety Advisory Panel), and our commitment to ensuring that our students continue to feel safe and secure while being engaged in learning each and every day,” she said.
