Toronto - The Toronto Catholic District School Board is pleased to officially welcome back and congratulate Kateri Vrakking for winning a silver medal in archery at this year’s Pan American Games. Just two points separated the gold and silver medal winning teams during the competition.

Ms. Vrakking is a grade 7 teacher at St. Matthew Catholic School. The Canadian medal winning team also included Kristen Niles from Edmonton and Marie-Pier Beaudet from Montreal.

“Congratulations to Ms. Vrakking on her success at the Games. She is a source of pride for our school board, and for our country,” says Director of Education Kevin Kobus.“Thanks to the enthusiasm and expertise of teachers like Ms. Vrakking, St. Matthew’s has had a successful archery program for students for several years,” he adds.
