Toronto - The Toronto Argonauts Football Club is saddened to announce the loss of former defensive back Boyd Carter who passed away after a lengthy battle with cancer.

Carter joined the Argos in 1957 and played defensive back with the club until 1962.  He is probably most well-known for teaming up with Argos legend Dave Mann on a lateral play to record the longest ever punt return (131 yards) on August 22, 1958 against the Montreal Alouettes.
