Toronto = On Friday, July 27, 2007, at about 2:30 p.m., a school bus driver was stopped and investigated by the Toronto Police Service for allegedly drinking and driving.

It is further alleged that:

− a citizen provided information to the police that the driver had been drinking,

− at the time he was stopped, he was operating a Laidlaw school bus with 39 children on board, ranging in age from 8 to 12,

− the officers attempted to administer a test on an approved screening device,

− the driver refused to comply with the demand to take this test.

Jerry McNeill, 58, of Toronto, is charged with Refuse Approved Screening Device.

He is scheduled to appear in courtroom 505, at College Park Court, 444 Yonge Street, on Tuesday, September 11, 2007.
